…and we swore allegiance to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) to speak the truth wherever we were and not to fear the blame of the blamers.
(Ubada bin as-Samit, reporting about the pledge of Aqaba)
We are an independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to reviving and invigorating contemporary Islamic thought. We operate without any affiliation to governments or governmental institutions, allowing us to remain true to our mission: bringing key Islamic works and principles to life in English, especially those that have long been overlooked and neglected.
Our goal is to equip our readers with a deep understanding of Islamic principles, alongside the tools for critical thinking. We believe that by making these foundational texts accessible, we can contribute to a richer, more informed discourse within the global Islamic community.
One of our primary aims is to present English translations of significant Islamic works that have not been previously translated. Among these are al-Muhalla bil Athār (The Adorned Treatise) and al-Ihkām fi-Usul al-Ahkām (Judgement on the Principles of Law) by Ibn Hazm. These texts, which have shaped Islamic jurisprudence and thought, deserve to be widely understood and studied.
We are also in the process of serializing chapters from Kitāb at-Tawḥeed: A’sās al-Islām wa Haqeeqat-at-Tawheed (The Book of Monotheism: The Foundation of Islam and the Reality of Monotheism). This magnum opus, authored by Professor Muḥammad bin Abdallah al-Mas’ari, offers profound insights into the core of Islamic belief. The first volume in English will be published soon, and we look forward to sharing this important work with our readers.
In addition to these major projects, our small team of dedicated staff writers regularly contributes shorter pieces on a wide range of topical subjects, ensuring that our content remains relevant and engaging.
Translation, as we know, is not always an exact science. We welcome and appreciate any suggestions or improvements you might have. Your feedback helps us ensure the accuracy and clarity of our translations.
If you wish to support our efforts—whether through contributing to our translation work or by offering financial assistance—we would be grateful for your involvement. Please feel free to contact us to learn more about how you can help.
